What is Yoga Therapy?

A multidimensional way of healing and/or improving quality of life whilst managing long term health conditions.

Yoga Therapy takes a whole person approach and is unique in that it defers to the wisdom of scientific and medical advances combined with the philosophical teachings of yoga in particular the Koshas and Chakras which provide a lens through which to view the whole person and create a personal treatment plan.

A multifactorial approach to building and restoring psychological, physical, and physiological wellbeing from the inside out. A Yoga Therapy treatment plan may involve exploration of musculoskeletal issues, impact of mental health conditions including stress, anxiety, and depression upon quality of life and overall wellbeing whilst developing an understanding of how yoga therapy practices can benefit our physiology including respiration, endocrine, cardiovascular and endocrine systems.
